Promoting and Propagating Heirloom Seeds

The SeedSavers-KC 2015 Annual Winter Seed Exchange is happening on January 17, 2015 from 11:00 to 2:00 pm at the Anita B Gorman MO Dept. of Conservation Discovery Center, 4750 Troost, KCMO.

Our mission is to promote and propagate heirloom (non-GMO/non-terminator) seeds through the sharing of seeds and seed saving techniques and information.

What We Do

  • Promote sustainable gardening practices
  • Offer advice to help growers adhere to these principles
  • Negotiate with the Land Bank Trust to acquire vacant neighborhood lots for use as community gardens
  • Present on seed saving related topics at public speaking engagements
  • Operate Kansas City’s first Seed Library.
